I really wish I weren't serious...

...but does anyone know where I can get a hold of a 1-1.5 tons of quicklime?

(no...I'm not trying to dispose of a bunch of bodies)

Call a cement company.

I'll try that. I usually think of quicklime as an agricultural product rather than a building product.

See if AgriSupply knows where to get it in large quantity? I assume they sell it in bags, so they might know where to get it by the truckload.

Oh there ya go...AgriSupply is my friend! Given how dense the stuff is, I'm expecting a ton would probably fit in a steamer trunk.

what one normally does with quicklime (besides disposing of bodies), changing soil pH.

Jesus. Sometimes it sounds simpler to just move :-).

That's gonna require one hell of a tiller.

I don't know how he intends to mix it in, but a tractor mounted rototiller is a wonderful thing!

So are monkey driven robot tillers with napalm to clear the zombies.

actually the tiller will handle the zombies just fine, so we won't need the napalm...but the tiller (or the monkeys) could be on fire and that would just be awesome!!

I don't think albert is *quite* up to the task yet...and we're actually using a small push tiller atm...so if you know someone with the tiller AND the tractor that wants to loan it out....

fortunately quicklime doesn't need that much tilling in. Unfortunately, that's NC soil for you...pretty much assume that any land is gonna need about a ton or two per acre.

Just make sure you wear a hazmat suit when applying it. It may be a bit of overkill, but the neighbors reactions will be well worth it.

Should really do it with the ox pulling the spreader and have *him* wearing the hazmat suit
